Payment Issues On Android
If you are struggling to complete your payment on an Android device please read here.
Where Is Your Shop
We are just online, we do not have a shop to visit.
Click and Collect
We offer click and collect for our local customers so that they might save on shipping costs.
We are located in Tenby, Pembrokeshire.
Please wait for your dispatch email before you travel to pick up your order.
Click and collect is usually between 2pm and 4pm Monday to Friday. We leave work at 4pm.
You won't be allowed in to look around, it's not a shop where you can look around and we don't have planning permission for this so please don't ask.
We will turn off the option to collect if we are going to be away at a quilt show.
Wholesale
We are a tiny business, we don’t give any trade discount on our products. However, we do always have lots of discount on the older fabrics and other items on our sale pages.
Special Order
Can't see that tool that you are looking for, seen something used in a video, just send us a message with the product name, code, brand etc or even a picture if you can and we will see if we can order it in, just for you. We will check the cost and the likely delivery timescale before you decide if you want us to order it.
We don't really special order in fabrics, unless you want 10 metres or more.
Fabric Samples
You can order up to five samples for 44in wide fabrics only, cotton or flannel. Order the sample.
Fat Quarters
We don't sell fat quarters in general, most fabrics are sold in multiples of half a metre, having said that we do have some fat quarter packs available, see the fat quarter packs page.
Come In One Piece
All fabrics, ribbons or trims etc will come in one continuous piece when multiple quantities are ordered, unless otherwise stated in the description.
Free Stuff / Offcuts
We often get asked for free stuff or offcuts for charity, quilt retreats or groups. Whilst it is commendable if you are making items for a charity or someone who is ill, unfortunately we can't afford to give any stock away. We actually list the end of the bolts or remnants on our last chance fabrics page, often at a discount. We sell the small pieces of scrap fabrics on our fabric scrap bags page, which can be a great assortment of similar fabrics for appliqué or small hexagons etc.
Vat
You will automatically receive a vat invoice from our website, this is sent only when the order is shipped, uk customers will pay uk vat, the prices are displayed including vat.
International customers with an international shipping address will not pay uk vat, see customs below.
Customs
International customers will not be charged uk vat, but you may be responsible for paying vat / tax / customs duty to your own country on delivery. Please read the international shipping information.
Block Magazine - When to expect it
The magazine will arrive - mid/late Jan (Vol.6), mid/late Mar (Vol.1), mid/late May Vol.2), mid/late Jul (Vol.3), mid/late Sept (Vol.4), mid/late Nov (Vol.5). It's not related to when your payment is taken, this just matches the date you originally signed up on.
Block Magazine - Moving House
You will need to notify us if you move house. Changing your address on your PayPal account will not update your address details that we hold on file for you. Please use the contact us page to give us your new address.
Block Magazine - How to cancel
To cancel your subscription at any time: log into your PayPal account. Go to Profile and Settings. Select My money on the left side of the page. In the 'My pre-approved payments 'section, click Update. Select the seller whose agreement you want to cancel and click Cancel. Click Cancel Profile to confirm your request. We can't do this for you unfortunately.
Curtains
While not ideal, you certainly can make curtains with quilting cotton and many of our customers do. However you will need a suitable lining fabric as the quilting cotton is fairly thin in comparison to curtain fabrics and it will not block much light out on its own. We do not sell curtain backing. You also need to consider how much fabric you will need, this can vary depending on the style of curtains, it is best to ask the person who is making them for you to work this out if you don't already know how to do it. This is not really our area of expertise.
Washing Instructions
A lot of the time no specific care instructions are provided by the manufacturers. Therefore we would suggest to proceed with caution: Cool wash, cool iron, no bleach, do not tumble dry, test fabrics for colour fastness and shrinkage prior to use.
Still Have A Question
Please use the form on the contact us page and we will get back to you usually the same or the next working day.
