Description

Quilters Pre-shrunk Calico is a plain-woven fabric made from unbleached seeded cotton – a high quality finished fabric, soft to touch and perfect for many craft and quilting projects.

Washing Instructions – Manufacturer says: 30 degree machine wash. Cool tumble dry. We strongly recommend testing a small piece first to be sure.

Uses

This medium weight quilting / craft cotton is suitable for patchwork and quilting along with many craft uses such as bags, purses, cushions, curtains and clothing.

For curtains you will need a suitable backing fabric as this will not block out the light on its own. We do not sell curtain backing.

For dressmaking it tends to be less soft and have a stiffer drape than apparel cotton. It is best suited to garments that require little to no stretch, are structured and loose fitting. We also sell jersey licensed fabrics.

Not having used calico before i got it to make cushions and was very pleased with the quality and feel of it I'm sure it will have many uses for patchwork plus speedy delivery and a good price well done the quilt shop.
