Aurifil 40wt is a slightly thicker weight cotton thread. Perfect for use when a more defined topstitching or quilting pattern is desired. Can be used for hand piecing, bobbin and machine lace, machine applique and machine embroidery.
Also great for general sewing of bags, toys, dolls or garments.
Recomended needles:
Schmetz microtex 80 for machine piecing (with 40 or 50wt in the bobbin)
Schmetz quilting 75/90 for machine quilting (with 40 or 50wt in the bobbin)
3.5/4.0 for longarm
